The MacArthur Foundation has established a Fund for Foreign Travel to assist individuals from the former Soviet Union to participate in conferences or workshops related to their profession. Applicants in the fields of law, human rights, energy, the environment, mass media, women's issues, and ethnic minority rights are eligible and must document the practical benefit of their attendance.
